I guess my decision has been made!

Since we have moved here to NE Wisconsin, I have been trying to find the "right" church for us. I left a church that I loved dearly back in Madison and when you are used to a certain "style" it is certainly hard to make the change. I have narrowed it down to two churches and wanted to go to a sermon series at each church before planting myself.

Today, Ian wanted to go with me, so I took him to the bigger of the two churches I have been attending. They have an AMAZING children's ministry and he had so much fun! I had been worried because he doesn't do well in some social situations, but they took him right in and he had a blast (and learned a thing or two in the process). He keeps asking if we are going back next Sunday. I had been praying for God to show me a clear sign of where I "belong" and it appears He has answered that prayer!

Now, I feel an incredible burden has been lifted and I can finally get involved again! I just wanted to share my praise!

Becca!!! I'm so glad that you've found your new spiritual home..I went through the same thing here recently...actually more than just church shopping, but the whole Christian life! I've blogged about it... :) It's such an AMAZING feeling!!!!!!

And it was the way that my kids took to the church as well that sealed the deal... :)

Here for the party!! :)

Hope you're enjoying it!

I know too well how hard making that kind of a change can be. Our old church was my church home for 12 years. It was my husband's childhood church. We were married there and our daughter was baptized there. Then we moved 45 minutes away. If we were "Sunday only" members, we'd have just driven back every Sunday, but we're not. We're involved, and so after 6-8 months of deliberating we transferred our membership to our new church on Christmas Eve.

Congratulations on finding your new church home! :o)

From one Becca to another... :-) Just stopping by from the Blog Party. Great blog! And glad you have finally found a church you like. I have that problem here in Uni because there are none I particularly feel at home in compared to my church back home.

That's great that you got a clear answer to prayer. Hopefully the church will be a blessing to you and that you will make yourself a blessing to it.

That is a real praise and finding a new church is the one thing that worries me about any move we might make in the future.
