When did my vocabulary change?

I called Ian to dinner the other day and I realized that during my childhood, it was already referred to as supper. What's more, when I was growing up, coke and other carbonated drinks were "pop"; I now refer to them as "soda". When did I change these things and why?

"Pop" is still "pop"! "Soda" is for cheeseheads, you cheesehead :) You've lived there long enough that it's starting to rub off on you....Next thing you'll be calling drinking fountains "bubblers." Come visit Iowa - I'll set you straight with a "pop" that I will pay for with money from my "billfold" hee hee
